R-438A (MO99™) is an HFC blend (R-32 / R-125 / R-134a / R-600 / R-601a ≈ 8.5 / 45 / 44.2 / 1.7 / 0.6 wt %) engineered as a “no-oil-change” retrofit for R-22 in residential and commercial air-conditioning and low- to medium-temperature refrigeration systems.

• Zero ODP, non-flammable (ASHRAE A1)
• Cooling capacity and pressures within ±3 % of R-22—TXV and lubricant usually stay in place
• Works with existing mineral oil (MO) or alkylbenzene (AB); POE optional for optimum oil return
